The most important ToDo for event marketeers regarding digital transformation"Just Do It." Today, there are countless possibilities to support offline events by new technology without the need for complicated, time-consuming and costly new workflows and resources. This is precisely our message as our platform makes Virtual Reality accessible and easy to implement for everyone. Our experience, especially over the past year, shows that for many companies the biggest hurdle is to finally give VR a first try. Many just can't believe it can be that easy. But as soon the step is taken, VR always proves to be a a great enrichment and therefore quickly gets incorporated in an overall strategy. There are always new technical developments and possibilities and it is important to deal with them, or at least to be open for competent advice. Understandably, the mass of information can be overwhelming, but seemingly useful new media / techniques can be tried out, for example with a test project. If you keep the ball rolling, with VR many processes and projects can be designed much more efficiently, better and more successfully in the course of time and yes - even massively save costs.
Both types of events are great ways to connect with customers and build and strengthen existing or potential business relationships. According to surveys, offline events enormously strengthen trust in a company and are important for key accounts but also for opening up completely new target groups - nothing has changed about that. Digital events, on the other hand, can guarantee a completely different scope (as well as flexibility), which is a great advantage in many cases. But it doesn't always have to be just one or the other. Supplementary, digital add-ons can strengthen offline events and use the potential of an event effectively for advertising purposes. Let us show you an example: the latest Deutsche Telekom project that was implemented with VRdirect, enables viewers who visit an art exhibition to use VR glasses to immerse themselves in the exhibitions of other partner museums. In theory, the content could even be shared with an unlimited community of art lovers via an app or even the Web VR Player links - an optimal combination. The only important thing is to always consider exactly when it makes sense to add a digital component to an offline event. The questions that come to the fore are who is the target group, how can I best reach them and how can I offer their benefits, how can I inspire them.
Digital vs. offline events - friends or enemies?
