For the second time this year, VRdirect is hosting a virtual hackathon together with TechCrunch for the creation of interactive VR experiences. It will take place prior to the TechCrunch Disrupt Berlin 2018 and is sponsored by KPMG.
Inspired by the big dreams in life, this time’s hackathon theme is “Never been there, never done that”.
Think about the things you’ve always wanted to experience but haven’t had the chance yet or places you wish to visit some day - and create them virtually. The only limit is your imagination!
You think this is great but you do not know how to code?
Not a problem, since you do not need any coding skills for creating an interactive VR experience with VRdirect. All you need is 360° content.
A panel of VR experts and content creators will select the winning experiences.
500€ in cash + 12-month VRdirect Enterprise license
250€ in cash + 12-month VRdirect Professional license
100€ in cash + 12-month VRdirect Professional license
amongst all participants, we give out 30 free tickets for the TechCrunch Disrupt Conference, taking place on November 29th and 30th in Berlin.
Moreover, the two best teams will get the chance to show their experience on stage TechCrunch Disrupt Berlin.
The winner of the TechCrunch Hackathon will be announced on our social media channels and will additionally be awarded on the TechCrunch Disrupt 2018 main stage in Berlin, taking place on November 29th and 30th.
When and where does the hackathon take place?
The hackathon takes place virtually. This means that you create your VR experience wherever you like – at home, at your favourite café or at any other place which sparks your creativity - and simply publish it with the VRdirect software.
The deadline of the virtual hackathon is November 25th (CET).
